In Palazzo Leone Montanari, home of the Gallerie d'Italia Museum in Vicenza, there is a huge collection of Greek vases. The museum’s management, through Zenit Arti Audiovisive, asked us to make it more engaging by applying our technology solutions to the room where the vases are exposed. The project was realized in A.R. (Advanced Reality) and was accessible via tablets. Once the system recognized a specific vase it began to narrate the Heracles’ ascent to Olympus’s account in A.R. mode (i.e. digitally shown on the real vase). All the animations were created by using original images taken from greek vases collections around the world, including the Louvre one.
